Roads and Maritime Services will carry out work to improve the road surface and width 600 metres east of Tyson Street to provide a smoother journey for motorists.
Work will take place from Monday 29 May between 7am and 6pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, and is expected to be complete by the end of August, weather permitting.
For the safety of workers and motorists, temporary lane closures and a reduced speed limit will be in place while work is carried out.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey and allow extra travel time, as delays of up to five minutes are expected.
