About Us

The newspaper is one of the oldest on the North Coast of NSW dating back to 1889. It became the Courier-Sun in 1946 after an amalgamation of the Northern Courier (1889-1946) and the Raleigh Sun (1894-1946).

Greg McLagan has been the editor since 1987 and continued as managing editor after the sale of the newspaper to Rural Press (now Fairfax Regional Media) in 2000.

The Courier-Sun is a free LOCAL newspaper distributed throughout the Bellingen Shire from the Dorrigo plateau through the Bellinger valley to the Urunga seaboard.
