Work on a temporary crossover south of the Pine Creek Way interchange will start on Monday 22 May and southbound traffic will be moved onto the northbound carriageway shortly after.
When work to resurface the southbound lanes is completed, Roads and Maritime Services will move northbound traffic to the southbound carriageway.
For the safety of workers and motorists a 24 hour contraflow traffic arrangement will be in place for the duration of work, which is expected to take about five weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Work will be carried out 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the exception of the June long weekend.
Motorists are advised to follow the direction of signs and traffic control and allow extra travel time, as minor delays may be experienced.
Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience while work takes place.
