RACE 2 $ Brace Relay
HEAT 1: We have a tie in this race, Mike Navin and Peter Allison, Paul Sheridan and Jill Williams both flew in taking out first and in second was Trevor Sinclair and Jimmy Baird.
HEAT 2: Sonja Munnelly and Helen Trist put abit of a spurt on taking out first place, closely followed by Emma Osland and Amanda Vockler in second and in third place was Anne Taylor and Liz Hoy.
FINAL: With their wings on Emma Osland and Amanda Vockler flew into first place, closely followed by Sonja Munnelly and Helen Trist taking out second and in third was Paul Sheridan and Jill Williams.
RACE 3 25m Freestyle
There was one bust in this race, Sonja Munnelly taking one second her time.
HEAT 1: Liz Hoy increased her pace taking out first, in second was Jimmy Baird and taking out third was Mike Navin.
HEAT 2: Helen Trist had a strong hold on this race taking out first, closely followed by Peter Allison taking out second and third was Amanda Vockler.
HEAT 3: Jill Williams had luck and speed her on side taking out first, just missing out on first Emma Osland takes second and Paul Sheridan takes out third.
RACE 4 100m Freestyle
There was one bust in this race, Helen Trist taking off a massive seven seconds off her time.
HEAT 1: Sonja Munnelly put the pedal to the metal taking out first place, in second was Anne Taylor and in third was Mike Navin.
HEAT 2: Peter Allison glides into first place, in second place was Paul Sheridan and in third was Liz Hoy.
On Saturday, March 18 eight swimmers travelled to Grafton to swim in the AIF carnival, it was a very wet day.
Sonja Munnelly made to the final in 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly, Sonja came in third in her age race 45-49 years, way to go Sonja.
Jimmy Baird came fifth in his age race 75-79 years. Jimmy also came first in service race, 75-79 years.
Way to go Jimmy. The team came sixth in the Tobruk Relay. The Bellingen Bats plus we borrowed two people from Wentworthville came ninth out of 26 in the Ten Person Relay.
Jimmy Baird was inspiration to all, he was awarded the Bat Cape which he got to wear. Good on you Jimmy.
Congratulations to the Bellingen Bats team: Jill, Sonja, Paul, Mike, Peter, Jimmy, Amanda and Lynda for swimming so well.
Just a reminder daylight savings ends on April 1. Diggers start swimming on Sunday, April 2 at 9am.
The Bellingen Pool is opened until the end of the school holidays.
