Nationals’ Luke Hartsuyker is unavailable due to a prior engagement. Christian Democratic Party’s Wayne Lawrence did not respond to the Chamber’s request.
Chamber president, Bruce Levy explained why it was important residents attend.
“Increasingly we are seeing that local issues are impacted by policy, direction and of course funding driven at the state and federal government levels,” he said.
“We need issues like infrastructure backlogs, environment, community/ regional sustainability and the like on the agenda. Let’s use the election to tell those candidates what's important.”
