The Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) applied for a hearing with the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal following a plea to shut down the house.
A father and grandmother told The Border Mail their chifamily members, both aged 13, had been exposed to drugs, alcohol and parties while at the home.
“The property has been cleaned, the anti-social behaviour allegedly perpetrated has stopped and FACS is working with the tenant to prevent anti-social behaviour issues in the house,” a department spokesman said.
A father, whose daughter spent time at the house, said it was an “excellent” response by FACS.
“The department needs to be vigilant and make sure that sort of thing doesn't happen again,” he said.
