Schedules will be available at the end of March either on the Show’s website (details below) or for a gold coin donation; you will be able to grab a copy from one of the many locations around town.
The Show offers a wonderful opportunity for children to get involved - and thanks to there being so many crafty and clever kids out there in our community, the Children’s section is one of the biggest in the Show’s Pavilion. In addition to the many sections available - new to the Show this year, is the introduction of a colouring-in competition and entry forms will be available at Bronwyn’s Shop, Sweet Bellingen and online at the website.
The Children’s Section steward, Joanne Barr has said she wants to make the Section huge again this year, so now is the time to start thinking about helping your child organise their painting, drawing, creating and assembling.
For all photographers in the community - dust off your old Kodak brownies, pick up that digital camera or Smartphone - and join in the fun of the 2015 show by entering your best photos in this year’s photographic exhibition. The Bellingen shire offers spectacular photographic opportunities for the aspiring photographer and the stewards and judges look forward to having their usual very difficult time in selecting the best photos.
The photography exhibition is open to all amateur photographers and includes sections for children and teenagers. The exhibition again includes categories for Landscape, Seascape, Nature, Black and White, Pets and an Open section. This year the stewards have also introduced the new category of ‘Creative Photography’ which should result in some amazing and inventive photographic effects.
On a more serious note, the show society is again delighted to host the Anne MacGee Award for Portraiture; the Jack Meagher Award – Life Captured; and the Vince Lovell Award for photographs depicting images of historical interest taken around the Bellingen Shire.
The show society gratefully acknowledges our sponsors, Fletchers Fotographics; Coffs Coast Moving and Storage; Creative Etch and Bellingen Valley Historical Society.

The Home Brew Section is also once again, part of this year’s Show. This popular section has grown - with many would-be brewers taking up the challenge, so it’s now time to start getting your preferred tipple underway.
The categories cover Ginger Beer, Ciders, Lagers, Ales and Stouts.
Of course don’t forget the many other sections to enter in the Pavilion. These include cooking, needlework, fruit and vegetables, jams, patchwork, flowers and floral art, handicrafts, beading, crocket and knitting, and the ever popular decorated gumboot, to mention just a few.
So come on - enter one or more of the many exhibitions and competitions - and enjoy the fun!
