With the mercury tipping the mid thirties, in spite of the cloud cover, a cooling dip was de rigeur.
Visitors came from all over, near (such as Coffs Harbour) and far (such as Caloundra and Canberra) and all were there to soak up what is well-known to be the cruisy shire vibe.
Dogs and even sheep were all part of the scene, as were canoes, paddle boards and party pontoons.
