Gleniffer Road is closed today (Wednesday March 3) as council workers repair a sink hole at Keoughs Culvert, just prior to the intersection of Gordonville and Timboon Roads (heading towards Gleniffer Hall).
Initially, two-way traffic flow was to be maintained while the roadworks were done, but due to overnight weather developments, it is now necessary to temporarily close the affected section of Gleniffer Road.
Consequently, Gleniffer Road is closed between the southern intersection of Gleniffer Road and Roses Road (645 Gleniffer Road) and the northern intersection of Gleniffer Road and Gordonville / Timboon Roads.
Motorists are requested to observe onsite signage and traffic control arrangements and it is recommended that they allow extra time for their journeys due to the need to detour around the roadworks site via either Hydes Creek Road or Summervilles Road.
Council will advise of any changes to current traffic management arrangements shortly and thanks everyone in advance for their cooperation and patience during these emergency works.
