The garden will be named after their founding president, Mrs Stanley Wilson (Fanny), who along with a small group of other women established the branch in February 1930.

The community garden project is the brainchild of current president Margaret Grice Little and was put forward when members reconvened in June after the COVID-19 shutdown:
"Looking into the future, a garden out the back with water supply and helpers from the Community Kindy next door can be seen. However, gardeners and liability insurances need to be sorted first. But, one can dream."
The dream is now set to become fertile reality.
The back section has been cleared of trees, surveyor pegs are in place between the neighbouring units and museum, and meetings with interested community members have commenced.
Part of the grant will be used to pay for landscaping advice and initial preparation of the grounds; however, a kindly sponsor is being sought to dig out roots with a bobcat or similar.
This work is not covered by the grant, so if you know of someone who can donate some time and equipment please contact Margaret Grice Little at the Urunga CWA.
