Hermes Estate at 935 Promised Land Rd in Gleniffer has applied to Bellingen Shire Council for permission to construct a helipad.
The five-star resort charges from $5000 per night and takes only one booking at a time, offering private use of the property and luxurious bespoke services to its guests.
The development application describes the purpose of the helipad as being for "infrequent landings ... less than 7 movements in any week".
"As a select number of clients would choose helicopter transfers it is likely that there would be very limited movements and possibly only 4-12 movements per year," it says.
Acknowledging that there would be noise from landings and take offs, the DA says the flight track does not overfly any nearby properties and the facility would be restricted to daytime use from 10am to 5pm.
It also notes that the proposed helipad could provide emergency services access for the Gleniffer community if required.
The DA, which can be viewed here, is on public exhibition from Monday December 30 to Monday December 14.
