The five-star resort charges from $5000 per night and takes only one booking at a time, offering private use of the property and luxurious bespoke services to its guests.
The development application describes the purpose of the helipad as being for "infrequent landings ... less than 7 movements in any week".
"As a select number of clients would choose helicopter transfers it is likely that there would be very limited movements and possibly only 4-12 movements per year," it says.
Acknowledging that there would be noise from landings and take offs, the DA says the flight track does not overfly any nearby properties and the facility would be restricted to daytime use from 10am to 5pm.
It also notes that the proposed helipad could provide emergency services access for the Gleniffer community if required.
The DA, which can be viewed here, is on public exhibition from Monday December 30 to Monday December 14.
Those wishing to make a submission regarding this DA can do so by emailing council@bellingen.nsw.gov.au with "Submission DA2020/0141 - 935 Promised Land Road Gleniffer" in the subject field.
If you have questions or wish to discuss the application further, you can contact the responsible officer, Luke Perry, on 6655 7300.
