A feast of artistic treasures will be on display on Saturday December 12 from 7.30am to 2pm at the Bellingen Showground.
Solange Villarroel, known to many as Soli, has been developing her simple but exotic, silver and copper jewellery after visiting and reconnecting with her ancestors, the Machupe People of Southern Chile and Argentina who are highly skilled in the art of silversmithing and live in deep connection with the land and all life.
Soli said she had "a deep respect for the Machupe People and has gained limitless inspiration from them to make recycled silver and copper jewellery as a way of honouring my roots."
The Bellingen Growers Artisans Market is 13 years old and Soli is looking forward to this year's event.
Soli uses 100 per cent recycled silver and copper and semi-precious stones and makes everything herself, including some of her tools.
Soli believes this annual event is a wonderful way of connecting local artisans with the wider community.
The market will include a variety of food stalls offering breakfast and lunch, coffee and cold drinks. Entertainment will be laid on by the Merchant Bankers.
Market organisers ask for the public's support to run a COVID-safe event.
