LOCAL State MP Melinda Pavey will be walking the Oxley electorate coastline to promote our beautiful region and encourage a focus on positive mental health.

The walk will cover more than 100km over five days, and Ms Pavey encourages locals to participate.
"Walking and exercise are proven to be good for our mental health, and this message is especially important as we all work together to thrive during the COVID-19 outbreak," Ms Pavey said.

Ms Pavey said members of the public are welcome to join her during any stage of the walk to discuss local issues. Alternatively, people can meet at the following venues:
Wednesday, September 2 - Point Plomer to Crescent Head. Ms Pavey will be at the Crescent Head Country Club from 5.30pm.
Thursday, September 3 - Crescent Head lookout to Hat Head. Ms Pavey will at the Hat Head Bowling from 6pm.
Friday, September 4 - Hat Head to South West Rocks. Ms Pavey will be at the South West Rocks Country Club from about 6.30pm.
Saturday, September 5 - Stuarts Point to Nambucca Heads.
Sunday, September 6 - Nambucca Heads to Mylestom.
Participants are asked to follow COVID-19 safety rules and maintain distancing. No more than 20 people are allowed to gather outside in a public place.
