A Victorian man who murdered his partner by stabbing her more than 50 times has been jailed for almost three decades.

Scott Charles Cameron attacked mum-of-two Dannyll Goodsell with a kitchen knife in her Ballarat home on October 5, 2018.
Before she died, the 33-year-old told a friend "I'm scared of Scott" and had good reason to be.
Cameron stabbed her again and again, mainly in the head, neck and shoulder, as she desperately tried to defend herself.
He then put her body under the bed, tried to clean the scene with bleach and lit a fire in a cabinet in an inept attempt to cover his tracks.
He told a friend: "I've done the worst thing possible ... I've killed Dannyll, I've killed Dannyll", but claimed it was self-defence.
Cameron, 37, eventually pleaded guilty to murder and was jailed in the Supreme Court of Victoria for a maximum of 29 years.
He refused to appear in court or attend his sentence via video link.
"Your breach of trust and lack of normal human decency are simply stunning," Justice Andrew Tinney said.
He rejected the murderer's repeated claims Ms Goodsell attacked him first with a hammer as "hollow, cowardly and completely false".
"In the 16 hours preceding her death at your hands, Ms Goodsell confided in no fewer than four friends that she was scared of you," the judge said.
"You took to her with a dangerous knife while she was in the sanctuary of her own bed in her own home.
"You ignored her futile and desperate attempts to ward off your blows.
"You left her dead on the floor covered in blood."
In the lead up to the murder, Cameron had threatened to kill himself unless Ms Goodsell returned home.
He claimed he loved her, to which she replied: "if you loved someone you would not harm them or control them".
Ms Goodsell's shattered family do not want Cameron to be released from jail.
"I hope he will never be granted parole to inflicted on another person what he inflicted on Dannyll," her loved ones said in a statement outside court.
They wanted Ms Goodsell to be remembered for the beautiful person and mum she was, with a big heart.
Cameron must serve 23 years behind bars before being eligible for release on parole.
