The 86-year-old is now likely to die behind bars, having been given more jail time after admitting more than a dozen rapes and sexual assaults.
The latest crimes were against four victims aged seven to 16 in Victoria's west and surf coast during the 1970s.
"You knew what you were doing was profoundly wrong and harmful, but you kept doing these things to these children over and over," Victorian County Court Judge Gerard Mullaly said on Thursday.
"It seems you knew no boundaries or had any sense of restraint."
He ordered Ridsdale's original non-parole period extended so he will not be eligible for parole until he is 90, in five years.
The former priest was previously eligible for parole in 2022.
His latest crimes involved two brothers who were abused when the then-parish priest took them rabbit shooting.
"We trusted our beautiful, innocent children with this bastard without question when we should have been more vigilant on their behalf," the elderly parents of the brothers said.
They labelled him as a "filthy, conniving, make-believe priest and pedophile".
Despite the former priest admitting to the abuse, his lawyer Tim Marsh previously said his client shouldn't spend more time behind bars for the crimes.
The rapist is currently serving a 34-year sentence for his horrific offending and already is expected to die in custody.
Mr Marsh had suggested an appropriate sentence would be one that does not interfere with the earliest possible release date and if Ridsdale had been sentenced for all his crimes at once, his jail time would not exceed the existing sentence.
However, the judge disagreed and extended his head sentence an extra two years.
