How do we make good decisions based on the facts? How do we find the experts to help us understand the various stimulus packages? How do we make business plans for the future, when nothing is clear?
Bellingen Chamber of Commerce is working to help businesses in our shire to stay connected, to provide links to sources of information and expertise and respond to emerging needs.
We are participating in the Bellingen Shire Coronavirus Pandemic Response Group to contribute to a coordinated local response to the pandemic. More information about this initiative is here.
Our program of networking breakfasts is on hold for the time being. In their place, we will be hosting regular online Zoom meetings.
The first will be held on Wednesday March 25 from 8am to 9am with the title Members link up in a time of crisis.
The economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have struck Bellingen, with some businesses forced to close, and others choosing to close or work from home. This will have enormous implications for our local businesses. We know that you will need support at this time, so we are inviting you to join us for an online event tomorrow.
This meeting will be a chance for you to:
- share your experiences and concerns with other businesses
- hear what actions the Chamber is taking
- talk about how we can reduce outgoings and options for staff if they are stood down
- discuss what assistance may be available from governments
- help shape the Chamber's response to council, state and federal governments.
