Following the 90th Birthday Bash, working mornings are planned to produce a long term reminder with albums and item storage. The first morning is planned for Friday April 17 at 9.30am. This is a normal handicraft morning being set aside as a branch project day. Margaret has collected various items. Photos taken by Peter Lister and members are being prepared for best display - simple, combined, collage. Please bring your creative ideas and comments.
Our annual Easter Market Day will be happening at the Urunga Riverside Markets on Easter Sunday April 12. Visit the "Chics" to check out the array of vege bags, handicrafts, pickles, lemon butter, small trays of cakes and slices. Any donations will be received with gratitude. There will be a raffle. Tickets will be available prior to the day. Proceeds from the raffle will be sent to Sydney for research into endometriosis - each study is on the books for three years for those remembering last year's proceeds.
Remember to put your cooking and handicraft entries into the Bellingen Show. You never know, you may be the winner of a Urunga CWA prize. This year we are giving a handicraft and cooking prize.
Next on our Branch Project list will be a booklet publishing what people want to know about CWA. Everyone is welcome to post points to the rooms in Morgo St, or mention to any member. This will probably commence in May after the annual conference in Newcastle.
Margaret Grice-Little, Annette Rieper and Laraine Bojarski will attend the conference as delegates. Alison Carter and one other may attend as 'visitors'. There is quite a long list of discussion points listed in the current NSW of CWA journal, but all depends upon the coronavirus.
An email has been received from a group looking for machinists and knitters to make pouches for healing animals. This company's website is pouchproduce.com.au for patterns. Judi has offered for her son to take pouches also to Port Macquarie. Any items may be left at the rooms.
Our bench will soon look like a bag collection. The branch will pass on tea bag tags, milk bottle tops (any colour), drink can pull-tops. Please leave your own collections at the rooms.
