The starting gun will be fired at 7:30 am on Sunday, May 17 ... that's in 66 days!
James Davies from show sponsor HQB, said as a long term sponsor of the event HQB was thrilled to see the run back on the program.
"And we will certainly make sure HQB has a strong contingent of staff taking part," Mr Davies said.
There are classes open to walkers and runners from eight years with cash prizes in each category plus entry fees include a day ticket to the Show on Sunday.
Organiser and new arrival, Patrick Post, was a committee member and competitor in the Randwick Botany Harriers Athletic Club before taking a sea change and settling in Urunga.
He has set a course involving three distances: a run/ walk of three kilometres, a six kilometre run and a six mile challenge all in and around the vicinity of the Bellingen Showground.
"The Challenge was reduced to six miles (equivalent to 9.6 kilometres) due to safety concerns as the roads will not be free of traffic during the event and competitors safety must be paramount," Patrick said.
The Challenge run will be open to competitors 15 years and over.
All classes will start and finish at the rear of the Main Pavilion.
Entrants must register from 6:15 am. Further details are on the entry form in the Show Schedule and on the Bellingen Show website.
Walk or run you'll have fun in the Bellingen Show Fun Run.
