The Magpies have had a busy off season making some strategic signings to bolster the senior mens playing group with a mix of experience, youth and size.
Head Coach Garry Stevenson has wasted no time in forming the senior mens playing group with a focus on building competition for spots in all positions.
The Magpies would like to welcome Johnny Skinnon to our club and our community. Johnny has come from Wellington New Zealand after a successful career in the Premier League competition in the North Island.
Johnny was the Captain and starting Front Rower for the very successful North Island Premier League side.
Johnny's recruitment is just the start, with more international recruits signed for the Magpies for 2020
The timing for their arrival has been carefully planned to ensure their immigration obligations are being met and they can be available for the entire 2020 season.
The Magpies will have all four grades in 2020, with the under 18s building steadily under the tutelage of Peter Glyde and the ever consistent womens' League Tag preparing for a return to semifinal football.
The women's League Tag will have a mix of experience and exciting youth coming from the Magpies Juniors, which is sure to put this ever successful squad in good position to play finals football in 2020.
For all new and returning players, training has started and all immediate preparations lead to the Annual Sgt Matthew Locke MG charity match on March 7.
