Twelve of the 25 volunteers were from Bellingen Shire, as were four of the six vehicles, including trucks belonging to North Bellingen, Fernmount and Hydes Creek brigades.
An RFS spokesperson described them as "superhuman" in their dedication.
"These volunteers have been working hard since August but when the call went out they didn't hesitate to put their hands up," he said.
They're bound for Queanbeyan, where they will be housed in motel accommodation for the next few days.
This group will come home on Friday and be replaced by another group, this time mostly from the Coffs brigades.
RFS MNC team has also sent two staff members along, one bound for Moruya and the other for Shoalhaven.
