The markets also offered a special day to rest and catch up with friends, free of the immediate stress of fires, which have been looming in recent weeks - and will return, possibly as soon as the end of this week.
In the pavilion the Growers Market stallholders were busy as fridges begin to be stocked with Christmas treats.
Along the back wall, long-time stall holder Sue Kelly was farewelling friends and counting the markets (only two to go), as she prepares to retire after 36 years of sourcing fresh organic produce for customers.
She will also be stepping down from the Growers Market Committee, after 21 years, along with other stalwarts, Lindy Dudgeon and Vida Crossley. The community thanks them for their efforts and time over so many years.
