Vice President of the Bellingen Agricultural Show Society, had gifts to share when he spotted St Mary's Christmas Hamper Appeal Bucket in Bellingen IGA ... so that is where he took his hampers from Good360*.
* Good360 helps individuals facing challenging life circumstances get the goods they need, generating hope. Businesses can see their products given a new life, reducing waste and helping build resilient communities for the future.
St Mary's staff member Carmel Dagger said all the hampers and gifts collected would go to local Bellingen families.
"Christmas can be a time of anxiety for many people so our students aim to make a difference and bring peace, hope and joy to families who may be going through a hard time," Carmel said.
Every year hampers are donated by Vinnies, IGA Bellingen and St Mary's School families.
Principal Claire Mellon said it was wonderful to see children learning the real meaning of Christmas and the joy of giving.
"It gives our students hope in the future and a sense of purpose. Thank you to IGA, the Show Society and all our community groups for their big hearts for showing our beautiful young people what a community can do when they work together," Claire said.
