A lovely day was had by all when approximately 200 grandparents and community members joined Urunga Public School students for Grandparents Day.

The day commenced with performances from all the students in their different stages with everyone being entertained by songs, dances and lots of fun.

The band did a fabulous job and many thanks to Mrs Thorn for all her musical support and expertise.

Grandparents then spent time with their grandchildren and visited their classrooms to see what they've been getting up to. They also participated in activities and then had a scrumptious morning tea.

A huge thank you to all the businesses that contributed to making our morning tea such a success.

We also welcomed residents and staff from the Raleigh Nursing Home who came and joined us for the entertainment.

Looking forward to doing it all again in 2020.
