"We could not be any prouder," said manager Rebecca Beaton."To win Gold in the Self-Contained Accommodation category again is an unbelievable achievement, but to take home Gold for the Excellence in Accessible Tourism takes the win to a whole new level.
"Accessible tourism is a core focus of our resort and something we are all passionate about. So, this accolade is the icing on the cake to be recognised as providing accessible accommodation and facilities for our guests."
The awards automatically progress the Riverside Holiday Resort into the prestigious Australian Tourism Awards, where they will represent NSW in the self-contained accommodation category. Winners will be announced at a lavish awards ceremony on March 6 in Canberra.
Riverside Holiday Resort has 32 fully self-contained apartments, 18 of those are easy-access and three are wheelchair accessible. The resort is currently building eight additional units and hopes to open these to the public in March 2020.
