Making the announcement on Friday Member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey, said Crown land and the associated organisations that manage and use it, "are the lifeblood of our communities".

"The facilities and reserves are accessed by many, so it's exciting a number of treasured local projects will receive well-needed funding".

Wheelchair accessibility at the Raleigh Hall will be improved with a $49,560 grant to install ramps and paths, an accessible toilet to cater for the elderly, people with a disability and parents, and a car unloading area.

The hall is used for a range of community functions including musicals, social and recreational events and weddings and fundraisers.

"The Country Women's Association (CWA) will receive $5690 to repair damaged vinyl flooring at its community hall in Bellingen, which is also used by other sections of the community."

Further funding will be used to maintain local public reserves, including improvements to a local walking trail, foreshore protection works and control of noxious weeds.

"$150,000 will go towards rock revetment works by Crown Lands to help protect foreshore recreational land from coastal erosion in Bellinger Heads State Park," Ms Pavey said.

Ms Pavey said the funding is from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment - Crown Lands under its Crown Reserves Improvement Fund and the local funding is part of $16.5 million being invested statewide to upgrade and maintain facilities and reserves on government-owned land to benefit the community and the environment.
