The competition is open to all Bellingen shire students and aims to make people think about what waste really is and to find new ways to re-use otherwise unwanted or broken items.
To enter, students need to create an object, by repurposing, or recycling otherwise unwanted items. The object can be a sculpture to admire, a machine that moves, a simple toy, something built with purpose or where ever your imagination takes you, as long as it reuses old items.
With a total prize pool of $300, generously sponsored by the Bananacoast Community Credit Union Bellingen, it's time to start being creative and working on your entry.
All entries will be exhibited and judged at the Spring Fair on Friday October 25.
And remember if you are not an artist, you can still be involved by voting in the People's Choice Award on the day.
Entries and a completed entry form must be delivered to the office, St Mary's Primary School, 14 Park St, Bellingen by Wednesday 23rd October.
For more information on the competition or a copy of the entry form please contact St Mary's on 6655 1432 or bellp@lism.catholic.edu.au
