BFC had the most teams of any other club in the grand finals - six - equal with Woolgoolga. This itself is a huge achievement.
On Friday night the Bellingen Over 30s team versed Sawtell in a tight contest but unfortunately lost 3-2.
Early on Saturday it was the 2nd Division Men's turn who put up a good fight, missing some of their valued players and going up against an almost unbeatable Orara team, the men only lost 3-2.
Next up the 1st Div Men took to the field against Coutts Crossing, whom they had beaten with a formidable score of 10-0 just two weeks earlier. However, not far into the match a mistake in defence saw the team already down 1-0.
Despite the men dominating most of the possession and creating many opportunities, it was not until the dying minutes of the game that Bello got the equaliser in a penalty finished by Kale Hopper.
The men went on to win 2-1 in extra time!
Sunday saw the three junior teams take to the field in difficult smoky conditions.
First up were the 12s boys who dominated much of the game against Urunga and finished with a 1-0 win!
Then the premier 14s girls hit the pitch. Within the first 10 minutes the girls could have been four goals up. However, a great save from keeper Clementine Whiteley resulted in a controversial penalty kick being awarded to Sawtell.
The girls felt defeated and ended up losing 1-0 despite dominating much of the game. As premiers the girls still get to play in the Champion of Champions competition in mid October.
Finally, the 15s boys followed the girls - against their rival for the season Northern Storm. It was a fast-paced match and a tight contest but our premier boys also lost 1-0 in the final.
The boys will play again next weekend in the Clarence to qualify for Champion of Champions as well.
Well done to all the Bello FC teams who competed over the weekend. Great effort all around!
