Bellingen High school had 16 students competing at Homebush, Sydney at the NSWCHS Athletics Championships on September 4-6.
The athletes had many great results and personal bests.
Willow Neal won gold in the North Coast relay; Josh Upsall a silver in the hurdles; and Max Cracknell a bronze in the hurdles.
Those finishing in the top 10 in the entire state were:
12 years boys Josh Upsall 2nd 80m hurdles, 6th 800m, 10th high jump.
13 years girls Bonnie Malt 6th 80m hurdles; Lulu McGrath 4th long jump, 5th Triple jump (12-15 years) and Eliza Cross - 8th discus.
13 years boys Max Cracknell 3rd 90m hurdles and Anthony Heather 9th javelin.
14 years boys Kyan Upsall 4th 800m, 7th 1500m.
16 years girls Emily Kilpatrick 10th 100m hurdles
17 years+ girls Willow Neal 4th 400m, 8th triple jump, 1st 4x400m North Coast relay
17 years+ girls relay team - Holly Pagulaylan- McCabe, Ashley Sticker, Willow Neal, Sophie Keough 5th 4x100m
These results are fantastic and with so many young talented athletes the future looks bright.
