Nearly 1,600 entries were received for the 2019 camp draft with almost half missing out when Dorrigo Showground reached capacity.
Adverse weather conditions in many parts of eastern Australia have caused the cancellation of dozens of camp drafts and shows, boosting entries at events which are able to run.
Silver Spurs President, Scott Beaumont, said the response of competitors and visitors was overwhelmingly positive.
"By all reports it was a very successful week-end," he said
"All the competitors were happy with the ground, the cattle and the organisation - the whole event.
"That says a great deal for the people who planned and prepared the event over many weeks and then ran it. We're very grateful for everyone who put in."
Camp draft competitors spoke highly of the level of competition and the general quality of cattle.
Around 1,300 head were yarded at Dorrigo Showground for the three days of competition. All were loaned by local graziers.
Walcha riders were prominent with Carl Green winning the open class and Ben McLaughlin the open horse class.
Deborah Curtin, from Ben Lomond, won the women's class.
