Back in March, 1.6 million people went on strike around the world, and for September 20, the school strikers have called for double the turnout.
The students have requested adult solidarity. Already over 26 unions have publicly backed the Climate Strike, calling on their members to down tools for the day and hit the streets, three days before world leaders meet in New York for the UN Emergency Climate Summit.
At the Strike Info Night locals will be making practical plans to get people from all different parts of the community stepping up to join the strike and double the turnout of the March strike.
WHEN: Wednesday 28 August, 6.30-8pm
WHERE: Bellingen Memorial Hall
