The under 13s won their major semi-final, securing the club's first grand final appearance in over a decade, and the youth girls won their minor semi-final so they progress to the preliminary final.
Unfortunately the under 15s suffered a narrow defeat in their minor semi-final, so their season has ended.
Under 13s
The Under 13s Bulldogs finished the regular season in first place which earned them a semi-final match up with the Northern Beaches Blues. Each team notched one win against the other during the year but with some red hot form in the last four weeks our Bulldogs were quietly confident.
The first quarter saw Bellingen take a healthy three goal lead, but for the next two quarters the Blues found their feet and made life very hard for the Doggies, who had to scrape and work to ensure their lead wasn't squandered.
A few goals to Bellingen early in the last quarter settled the nerves and the Bulldogs ran out winners by six goals. A week off next week is followed by the grand final on August 25 at the Coffs International Stadium.
A real team effort this week, full of 'never give up' Bulldog attitude. Congratulations on making it this far Doggies, but it's not over yet, keep up the good work!

Youth Girls
Youth Girls headed north to Ellem Oval, Grafton again this Sunday. It was their first ever semi-finals appearance, an impressive feat in their debut year.
They were playing their coastal friends the Sawtell Saints. These teams have always had close tussles and have fostered a great friendship having both played their first seasons in the comp.
Our girls arrived with some trepidation as they knew what was on the line. Teneika Coltman put us on the board early kicking a goal. The remaining quarter was a tight, low scoring affair with the girls fighting hard, demonstrating their desire to be in next week's preliminary final.
By half time due to a sneaky goal from Tehahni Berger and Katelyn Whyman taking a mark and then kicking a goal from 40 metres out, we were up by three goals.
In the second half our girls were feeling the fatigue of having no bench. Our backs continued to hold them off with some outstanding defence from Jamika McAuley Ernest and Demi Bowd. The girls tackling was outstanding, led by Emily Sutherland and Sal Selim and Indy Loos. Bonnie Malt and Indy Brodbeck worked hard in the midfield. The wind played havoc with both teams' accuracy and the back end of the game only provided behinds. By the final siren we had won by 16 points and secured ourselves a place in the preliminary final against Coffs Breakers.

Under 15s
The Dogs traveled down to Kempsey to face off against the Eagles in the semi-final.
The Dogs got off to a flying start and came in at quarter time three goals up. The second quarter came and the Dogs were still pushing, showing great use of the ball and playing a hard game of football. They dropped off in the third quarter and the Eagles kicked a few easy goals.
It was time for the last quarter and the Dogs only had a one goal lead and the Eagles had got some confidence back from kicking a few in the third and with a strong wind behind them they came home strong.
Some players that gave their all were Harrison, Cam and Luke who all showed heart, fighting right to the end, but player of the day goes to Ryan who was a star in the backline stopping countless goal attempts from the Eagles.
Overall I'm really happy with the under 15s Bulldogs team, we have gone so far since the season started and I am really proud of you all.
