New entrant Coffs Coast Surf Tours has taken out gold in the Adventure Tourism category at the NSW regional tourism awards announced in South West Rocks last night.

Their innovative offerings last summer included surfing classes for children aged 5-12 years at Hungry Head beach and also Waves for Women, which began when the mums who saw how much fun their kids were having demanded classes for themselves too.
Joe Rattray and his team also run scenic day tours taking in mountains, waterfalls and rainforest walks.

On track to repeat their triumph at last year's regional and state titles is Riverside Holiday Resort Urunga, which again won gold in the Self-Contained Accommodation category.
They were also recognised with gold for Excellence in Accessible Tourism, recognising their passion to make the resort comfortable for guests with a disability.
Winners in 14 categories were announced at the awards presentation ceremony from finalists including tourism businesses, events, restaurants, wineries and accommodation providers.
The I Love Bello Shire website received a silver award in the Specialised Tourism Services category.
Category winners from the Regional Tourism Awards will now gain finalist status upon entering the NSW Tourism Awards to be held in Sydney in November.
