ROUND 2 - Under 13s match report
Conditions were perfect for footy at Grafton as the under 13s took on the Tigers. Both teams won their opening match of the season last week so the scene was set for a competitive game. Tyreke Whyman and Max Cracknell had other ideas though as they dominated the first half for the Bulldogs and opened up a 4 goal lead at the main break.

Jai Bowd displayed intelligent reading of the game to shore up our defence in the third quarter allowing our forwards the freedom to put another 3 unanswered goals on the board.
Players were swapped between teams to even up the contest in the last quarter, where the Bulldogs required the hard tackling of Oliver Brenton, Wilbur Carter- Lynch and Alex Dyson to prevent the Tigers from completing an unlikely come back. Bellingen wrapped up a 24 point win with a spirited rendition of the team song and a tired but happy drive back to our valley.

ROUND 2 - Under 15s match report
This weekend took the Under 15s down to Port Macquarie and we instantly noticed the huge size difference between Port Macquarie Magpies and the Dogs. Although the size didn't matter when it came to the crunch, with the dogs showing that speed and skill can overcome a bigger opposition.
The whole team played outstanding footy with each player having their time to shine, however there were a few stand out players and big moments. Harrison showed us his talent and understanding of the game kicking 5 goals for the game, our new recruit Jackson kicked his first goal in AFL, and the Greenwood twins hit the ball hard showing no fear and their pressure was unmatched.
The dogs got off to a flying start and the score hit 60 - 0 at the start of the second quarter when mercy rule was applied. A convincing first win for the season!
