Just returned from her debut Canadian tour where she was dubbed a 'captivating folk fugitive', this March, STAV. (Stav Shaul) comes back for a hometown show in Bello at Cedar as part of her east coast tour from Port Fairy Folk Festival to the Blue Mountains Music Festival.

Danny Ross, No. 5 Church St Bellingen
Singer/songwriter Danny Ross has been playing music for more than half his life, but he appears to have had a wavering commitment. Ross fell in love with music in the mid-'90s at the age of ten, but didn't release his first EP until 2009; he had a major breakthrough as a finalist on the 2013 series of The Voice; and he recently re-emerged with the single We Are Songs, Equipped with a prodigious folk-blues guitar style, dry wit and diverse songwriting, it's a set of music to remember.

Sounds of an Angel, Megan Hall Dorrigo, 7pm
Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival Inc. are delighted to present Kavisha Mazzella, a composer, singer-songwriter, folklorist, activist and choir leader, at the Megan Hall on Friday March 22.
Kavisha will be supported by Andrew Clermont, an inspiring chameleon of many instruments. Kavisha, an ARIA award winning singer songwriter enjoys crossing musical boundaries and creating community experiences in her shows. She first came to national attention with her appearance in the Franco Di Chiera documentary Joys Of The Women in 1993.
Drawing on her rich multicultural heritage she creates contemporary songs with haunting melody and lyrical depth. While her early influences come from the singer songwriter tradition of the likes of Sandy Denny,Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, over time due to her passion for Italian regional folk song,she has absorbed influence from the East with its modal tones and ecstatic singing styles of Indian, Arabic, Southern Italian and Gypsy influenced song and links these with western folk music influences. Other influences that have made an impression on Kavisha's music are her interest in meditation and mysticism through the teachings of Osho ,Sufi ,Tibetan Buddhist Masters and Advaita teachings.

Bonnie Kay & The Bonafides, Federal Hotel Bellingen, 8:30pm
A soulful and sassy package of blues and roots. Bonnie Kay, a contemporary American singer/songwriter from Philly who landed in Australia via Tokyo, uses acoustic, finger-picking, slide-guitar techniques, plus a voice reminiscent of blues icon Bonnie Raitt's, to deliver her own red-hot, sexy sound.
Add Wayne Rigby on saxophone and flute, Catherine Golden on double bass, Luke Herbert on drums, Kaiki Suzuki on trumpet and Nic Lewis on electric guitar and it's a Bonafide Band with a capital B. That, there, is the triple truth, Ruth!

Susan O'Neil, No. 5 Church St Bellingen
All the way from Co. Clare, Ireland, the prodigiously gifted Susan O'Neill's soulful & husky-voiced performances are truly something to behold. The Shufflemen, No.5 Church St Bellingen, 4pm
The Shufflemen are back for monthly Sunday sessions at No.5 Church St Bellingen, starting this Sunday afternoon March 24 from 4 to 7 pm.
Free Entry. Special opening set with solo guitarist Jackson Simon who grew up in Bellingen and has been playing music for 15 years, performing and busking in Australia, Canada and America.
Utilising loop technology he creates interesting rhythm textures to accompany his original compositions.
The Shufflemen are a guitar, harmonica, bass & drums blues band playing a mixture of originals and covers with passion and enthusiasm.
Autumn Evening of Music, Dorrigo, 4pm
A full evening of contemporary music is on the bill in Bellingen, this Sunday as a fundraiser to support religious education at Bellingen and Dorrigo High Schools.
An Autumn Evening of Music will run from 4pm to 8pm at St Margaret's Anglican Hall.
Musos on the bill include Josh McGovern, High Lonesome, The Resonator Brothers and Downstream Twice.
Local resident Andrew Frost (better known as Frosty) has accepted the role of SRE teacher at both schools and begins his tenure on April 30.
The SRE project at both schools is independently funded by a local inter church group, Waterfall Way Christian Education Committee. The committee has operated successfully for more than three years under protocols laid down by the NSW Department of Education.
Sunday's entertainment includes a sausage sizzle, cold drinks, light refreshments and tea and coffee on sale. Tickets are $10, families $25.
