After scoring early in the match, the Bulldogs had a tough task for the majority of the first half with a number of big hits and some uncharacteristic dropped balls.
At halftime, the Bulldogs were in front 10-0.
The second half was more free flowing and featured a close to line try for Bellingen’s Tina McRae.
In a game with a high penalty count, the Bulldogs ran away winners 22-0.
The Magpies had two representatives in the Bulldogs team, Tina McRae and Rachel Devine, who were both instrumental in the team's win. Well done to all the players involved.
The Bellingen Dorrigo Magpies will return to Dorrigo this weekend (Sunday) to host a trial match against the Armidale Rams RLFC.
The Dorrigo Rec Reserve will once again host a game of rugby league and the game day program will feature the under 14s at 11am, followed by the Ladies League Tag at noon, then Reserve Grade at 1.15pm and 1st Grade at 2.30pm.
Post match presentations will be at the Dorrigo RSL Club from 4pm onwards. The event is an alcohol free event and will feature a gold coin donation for entry.
Full canteen facilities will be available, so bring your chairs/blankets and come enjoy an afternoon of entertainment on the mountain.
