It has also declared war on weeds and pests in NSW, with an additional $50 million in new funding to help fight a devastating environmental and economic scourge that is ravaging vast areas of NSW.
Country Labor candidate for Oxley, Susan Jenvey said Landcare groups were pioneers in the restoration of ecosystems in Australia.
"I am full of admiration for their work … there is a lot of hope with this announcement," Ms Jenvey said.
"Weeds are a recurring theme in conversations with local farmers. Labor’s investment will help the community to meet current and future challenges.
"In their cuts to National Parks and Wildlife Service, the Liberals and Nationals have effectively passed the cost of pest and weeds management on to the community, especially farmers.
"Labor’s policy means government will reassume its role in the leadership of this vital program."
