The work is being carried out seven kilometres east of Dorrigo, near Crystal Shower Falls, between 7am and 6pm weekdays and is now expected to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.
Night closures may be necessary to manage the safety risks associated with working in a complex environment with steep slopes. If full night closures are required, Roads and Maritime Services will advise the community five days in advance.
Alternate traffic flow arrangements and a reduced speed limit will be in place during working hours for the safety of motorists and workers.
A 2.5 metre width restriction is in place and vehicles exceeding 2.5 metres in width may be eligible to travel via permit. To discuss permit requirements, motorists are advised to contact the Roads and Maritime Services Special Permits Unit on 1300 656 371.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow up to 10 minutes extra travel time, and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
