He was joined by unit volunteers, Andrew Fraser MP and Nationals candidate for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh, plus the unit’s newest recruit, three-and-a-half month old Evelyn Rose Houghton.
Pictured in the arms of Mr Smethurst wearing the distinctive orange jumpsuit, Evelyn has her mum, Teaguine Vitnell-Phillips, standing beside her.
Teaguine has volunteered with the unit for two years. Her partner, Jade Houghton, has volunteered for six years.
