All girls are welcome to join in the first AFL training session of the year on Monday February 4 from 4 – 6pm at the Bellingen High School (top oval). No prior experience in the game is required.
The club is particularly keen to encourage girls turning 13-17 years in 2019 interested in playing AFL to bring a friend along and have some fun learning some footy skills together.
Bellingen Bulldogs are committed to supporting young women’s ongoing participation in AFL and are so excited to field our first ever Youth Girls team in the local competition.
It’s a wonderful time for women’s sport, and a fantastic opportunity to enjoy playing this fun and friendly game in our local area.
The North Coast youth girls comp has been growing in numbers, enthusiasm, talent and opportunities, with athletes going on to representative, state, and national teams. With the national AFL Women’s league going from strength to strength there is also a pathway for any female athletes wanting to develop through to the highest levels in the game.
If you can't make it to this session but still want to be involved please contact Milo on 0447 305 085.
Bellingen Bulldogs AFL club will be holding a registration day on Sunday February 10 at 10am Connell Park for any juniors (5yrs – 15yrs boys, 5yrs – 17yrs girls) interested in playing AFL with our inclusive and welcoming club this year. We look forward to connecting with all new and returning club members!
