Matches in the major pairs last week resulted as follows: Elaine Cameron, Lorraine Carlon defeated Jenny Foster, Robyn Adams; semi-final - Bev Cloake, Ros Hancock defeated Julie Burgess, Joy Lambert; Kath McPhail, Lynne Tarrant defeated Elaine Cameron, Lorraine Carlon. Bev and Ros will now meet Kath and Lynne in the final and with all players in top form it is expected to be a close contest.

UWBC was delighted to receive advice that its Camellia Carnival, held each year on the Queen's Birthday weekend, has received the prestigious listing as a Bowls Australia ranked event and is also officially listed on the BA web site.

Urunga bowlers are sorry to lose the membership of champion bowler and past President Shirley Willis who has transferred to Coffs Ex Services club. During her years at Urunga Shirley, who now lives in Coffs Harbour, made a valuable contribution to Urunga Women's Bowling Club not only during her term as President but also as Treasurer, and accredited Coach and Umpire. Her Urunga bowling friends send their best wishes to Shirley for her future success and happiness at Coffs C.ex.
