It is good news that Council has decided not to start work on the development of the pontoon until April after the main tourist season.

But, why do it at all?
Acknowledging that there has been pressure from a few people who would like to see the old facility returned has the Council taken into account the large number of people who love it just the way it is.
I challenge anyone to walk along the boardwalk and swim, particularly in the early morning, and not be affected by the unspoilt views. It is hard to improve on nature.
I have spoken casually to several people both local and visitors and the overall desire is to leave it alone.
In 10 years I have never seen a single person from Council actually swimming there.
I’d be happy to drive if anyone wants to try it.
Please, no more concrete and man-made ugly structures here while we still have such natural beauty.
