Our newest U8 athlete Charlie Phillips dominated all his events, winning four gold medals in the 200m, 70m, 100m and Long Jump.
U9 Hannah McNeil had gold in Discus and silver in Shot Put, Rebekah Eppler U12 silver Triple Jump and 800m, gold 80m Hurdles.
U15 Caleb Knobloch received gold in High Jump and bronze in Shot Put and Javelin, Shyla Guest U9 bronze High Jump.
Our U10 girls Eadie Oldman came home with a bronze for Long Jump and Josephine Eppler bronze 60m Hurdles.
Our first medal of the competition was Hayley Pitkin U12 bronze in the 1500m and silver in High Jump. Our other U12 Linsay Guest came away with bronze in Triple Jump, U12 girls Ashlee and Samantha Little gave a tremendous performance in each of their events, our only U11 Mikaylah Miller and U17 Emily Kilpatrick gave it their all with the stiff competition in their age groups and both have qualified for Regionals, for coming fourth in some of their events, which will be held in Glendale on the first weekend of February.
All our athletes that travelled to Lismore for Zone competition have qualified for Regional Champions 2019. We were well represented and proud of the athletes who participated, they showed great support and encouragement for each other. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time.
