“As my family has a history of cancer, I feel it is my responsibility to support others who are experiencing it,” Adrian said.
“Also, this is an opportunity to bring people together to spend a few hours focusing on their health while raising money for cancer research. I’m looking forward to getting in the garden and getting my hands dirty!”
The day’s events will begin at 9am with a friendly fun group fitness session for women and men of all fitness levels. The cost is a donation of your choosing from $5 to $10 which goes directly to Cancer Council Breast Cancer Research.
“Then we will be getting down and dirty digging out existing garden plants, dividing and repotting them for sale,” Adrian said. “You will need to bring along gloves, garden tools, hats, secateurs, spare pots, potting mix, anything garden-wise we can use on the day.”
If you would like to begin the day gardening at 9am you are most welcome. However, gardening will officially run from 10am to 12 noon.
During this time Nicole Hind, Narrative Therapist specialising in women’s mental health, will be helping people find greater self-acceptance and new ways to solve problems. Nicole will explore some of the ways our bodies are impacted by our brain, offering some practical and creative ideas on reducing stress and anxiety.
A plant sale will be held, so don’t forget to bring along your spare change, with all donations going directly to the Pink Ribbon Fundraiser for Breast Cancer.
The gym will be open from 9am to 12pm for a donation of $5 to $10. To book your spot please email adrian@bellingenFitness.com, or ring him on 0421 139 036 or use this link https://app.clubworx.com/websites/bellingen_fitness/calendar
