Judging took place throughout the morning, with beef and dairy in one section, horse events in the main ring, and axemen from across northern NSW in another corner of the showground competing in underhand, standing block and tree felling.
Fifteen-year-old Austin Scrivener from Walcha was a crowd favourite, finishing first in the finals for the 300mm underhand and knocking the top of his tree ahead of the rest as well.Check out his form in the video – he’s the one second from the left in a dark blue singlet.
The ‘Back in Time’ theme was embraced in costumes, exhibits and vehicles, and culminated with a fashion parade judged by Oxley MP Melinda Pavey.
The Grand Parade saw a splendid display of vintage vehicles and animals in peak condition, and during the Official Opening the very dedicated show society president, Sally Duckett, was awarded a special medal for her decades of service by NSW RAS Agricultural Development Chair Geoff Bell.
Enjoy the gallery of photographs, which include wood chopping, pavilion exhibits, some of the showjumping and the Grand Parade.
