Golfer Marlene Bishop said the way the shoot out works is that one lady is eliminated each hole.
“...And unfortunately [on the first hole] Lois Milham had a few tree problems and a dam got in the way,” Mrs Bishop said.
“A shoot out was held on the next hole, with all five players and Marie Hulst was the next to go. Rosalie Telford was next. Lifting the head didn’t help.”
“Fay Jones had a bad moment with her putting on the next hole that left Audrey Smith and Sue Valentine to determine who was going to be the winner.”
Overall winner of the day was Audrey.
“Some very good golfing was displayed by all these ladies. Congratulations to Audrey and well done to the other ladies,” Mrs Bishop said.
