Imagine thousands of young people coming together across the planet, to tackle global sustainability challenges such as energy, food, climate change, biodiversity and water and plan together how they can lead positive social change?
YOUth LEADing the World (YLTW) is an energising youth leadership congress conducted in multiple interconnected locations.
The Bellingen YLTW Congress is being hosted next week and will include a focus on and an analysis of the first year’s data from Bellingen Riverwatch, a local citizen-science program supporting the recovery of the critically endangered Bellinger Snapping Turtle.
The congress will be run by local facilitators, including Year 10 students from Bellingen High School.
The YLTW Congress is a highly participatory program and is brings together young people from 12 to 25 y.o. Inidividuals, group and school group are welcome to join.
With school groups attending, organisers suggest a team of up to 10 students. The congress will be held from 9am to 3pm on November 8 and 9 at the Stockton Hall at Bellingen High School.
