Four teams represented Bellingen High School at the Mid North Coast Beach Volleyball competition held at Jetty Beach November 2.

The senior girls were dominant throughout defeating Coffs Harbour High School 2-0 and defeating CHEC to 2-0 in the final.
This made them Mid North Coast Zone Champions and eligible to compete at the North Coast Championships at Evans Head on November 20.
The senior boys also made the final against Grafton HS and went down in a close match 2-1.
The junior girls, all from year 7, were first to play and despite starting poorly came back in the first set to narrowly lose to Grafton HS. The second set saw them take control and win comfortably. The third set saw Grafton with greater age and experience finish on top winning 2-1. Unfortunately this put them out of the competition due to its knockout format.
The junior boys took the court next also versing Grafton High. Many great combinations saw the Bello boys take control of the game winning comfortably 2-0. They went on to play Coffs Harbor HS in the final, but many of the previous combinations fell through with communication lacking and the boys eventually went down 1-2.
It was great to see the boys and girls participating so well, supporting each other and enjoying the sport. Hopefully the new beach volleyball court at school will see a lot more action.
