Being self-employed can be isolating and it’s difficult to find time to work ON the business while you’re busy working IN the business.
Director of Regional Developmen Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC), Kerry Grace has been self-employed for most of her working life.
“Owning a small business can be exhausting and isolating,” she said. “It’s important to take time out every now and then to gain a fresh perspective.”
This is one of the experiences that inspired her to create the Ignite Mid North Coast Symposium, a business and community event designed to inspire new thinking in the way Mid North Coast residents consider life, community and business.
“Ignite MNC targets people who are involved in innovative and interesting businesses across our region. It’s a platform for them to come together to network, learn and grow,” Kerry Grace said
Launched in 2017 at Bowraville, the keynote speaker was Todd Sampson, who delivered an inspirational presentation and inspired professionals from the Mid North Coast region to consider opportunities for new partnerships and the advantages of collaboration.
Ignite MNC Symposium 2018 will be held in Bellingen on November 7 and offers owners of businesses of all sizes the opportunity to engage, discover and network.
Attendees will learn from expert panels and meet a range of people and organisations who can support their business to grow and thrive.
Speakers for this year’s event include Clare Bowditch, Dr Gregory Smith and Fiona Nash.
The symposium will showcase how the Mid North Coast region is transforming and embracing a better future.
Mid North Coast business owners are also invited to showcase their business via the online conference show bag. All you need to do is create a special offer for the audience (for example, a discount, 2-for-1, an information sheet) and email it along with the best contact details for the business to admin@rdamnc.org.au
