Members of the Fuji karate club, which practices Tuesday evenings at St Marys Hall in Park Street, recently travelled to Lismore NSW to participate in a state training course under Japanese karate master, Hirata Sensei of the International Shotokan Karate Federation.

All three Fuji karate club instructors felt that the training was physically challenging and most worthwhile.
They also noticed that, once back in Bellingen again, members were just that little bit sharper in the execution of their technique and much more focused in their regular training.
Fuji karate club is hoping to grow the sport of karate in the Coffs Coast district and are accepting new members for spring training in term four.
It is hoped that more adults and children will discover and enjoy the wonderful Japanese martial art of Fuji karate.
